Who actually makes what we sell

Our blends come from R.L. Schreiber, and they are a family business too. It started in 1968 with one man — Raymond L. Schreiber — who moved his wife and five kids to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to build a food base company. In the early years he manufactured product in the morning and sold it in the afternoon.

His children took the helm in 1993, their grandchildren are in the business now, and the company is three generations strong with more than 55 years of experience formulating and manufacturing for foodservice. Everything is crafted in their own facility in Lebanon, Kentucky — food and soup bases, herbs and spices, instant concentrated stocks and seasoning blends, over a thousand products in all. The industry knows them as the Purveyors of Fine Flavors, and their motto is still “Crafted with pride.”

What family owned means on your line

• One phone number. No ticket queue, no rotating rep. The same person handles your quote, your samples and the case you need before Friday.
• Custom blends are a conversation. A house rub or a wing dust for your bar is a real option, not a corporate minimum you can never hit.
• Specs come from people who know them. Sodium data, allergen and spec sheets come straight from a manufacturer that has been formulating this line for decades.
• Consistency you can plate against. The same blend, batch after batch, so a slow Tuesday lunch and a Saturday rush leave the pass the same way.
