Italian Seasoning

Italian seasoning is a classic herb blend that captures the essence of Mediterranean flavor.

Typically made from a mix of basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, and marjoram, it brings a warm, savory aroma to a wide variety of dishes.

A Taste of Italy in Every Pinch

Although it’s a modern creation (not traditionally used in Italy itself), Italian seasoning is inspired by the herbs most often found in Italian cuisine.

It’s a go-to for home cooks and chefs alike when making pasta, pizza, or roasted meats and vegetables.

Common Uses

  • Pasta & Pizza Sauces – Stir into marinara or Alfredo sauces for extra depth.
  • Roasted Veggies – Toss potatoes, zucchini, or bell peppers with olive oil and Italian seasoning.
  • Soups & Stews – Add to minestrone or lentil soup for a comforting herbal note.
  • Meat Rubs – Combine with garlic, salt, and olive oil for a simple chicken or pork marinade.
