Recipe 1: Classic Chili with Ground Beef

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp R.L. Schreiber Beef Base
  • 1 tbsp R.L. Schreiber Chili Powder
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 or 2 cans beans
  • 2 cups water

Directions:
Brown beef and drain. Add tomatoes, beans, beef base, chili powder, and water. Simmer 45 minutes until rich and thick. Serve hot with shredded cheese—and don’t forget the cornbread!


Recipe 2: Spicy Supreme Cornbread

Ingredients:

  • 1 box cornbread mix (your favorite brand)
  • 1 tbsp R.L. Schreiber Taco Supreme Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup whole kernel corn (drained if canned)
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 small jalapeño, diced (seeded for less heat)
  • 1 egg (per mix directions)
  • 1/3 cup milk (per mix directions)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven according to cornbread mix instructions.
  2. In a bowl, combine cornbread mix with egg and milk. Stir until just combined.
  3. Fold in R.L. Schreiber Taco Supreme Seasoning, corn, onion, and jalapeño.
  4. Pour batter into a greased baking dish or cast-iron skillet.
  5. Bake per package instructions, until golden brown.
